The Pathway to Licensing

Step 1
Contact Physicians Apply to submit documents for source verification for any training taken outside Canada and the US.

Step 2
Submit confirmation of American Board Certification to CPSM via email to registration@cpsm.mb.ca

Step 3
Once confirmation of American Board Certification is received by CPSM, the physician can then make an Application for Medical Registration (AMR) through Physicians apply (NOTE: The AMR consists of two parts: the first part of the application is considered the “Review of Qualifications” (ROQ).

Step 4
Once the ROQ is received by CPSM, they will be contacted by a Review Analyst (via email) who will be their contact at CPSM throughout the registration process. The Review Analyst will be available to answer any questions/concerns via email, phone or in person.

Step 5
Once they have been received, the review will continue and the physician will be sent a letter indicating if they meet the requirements and the additional outstanding documents.
